High winds, goodbye AEV: Hello, Las Vegas!

The summer tourist season wound down, and the temperatures in the Black Hills dropped steadily.  We got ready to leave the Big Pine with the last of the summer campers, and seemed to run right into the real world as we left.  An early snowstorm sprinkled flakes over Custer as we headed south.  The snow [...]

Fire the vacuum cleaner!

The Incorrigible’s our house, and who leaves their house alone?  Constant redecoration and upgrading are a part of having your own place.

After the mud of Michigan and Nashville followed by the dust of Austin and the sand of Baker (not to mention who knows how much dreck before we owned it), our Dolphin’s carpet was [...]

Fulltime RVers Guide: Your First Winter!

This is, unfortunately, one of the perils of a workampers’ position.

Spring maintenance update

Unlike the windows in a house, of course, an RV’s windows can be removed with a screwdriver and a butter knife.

Workamping at the Silver Jack Inn

Baker, Nevada is a city of just 52 people, located on the edge of the Great Basin national park.

Slow-moho to Nevada.

Driving off with the house and Jeep and leaving our navigatrix behind was an unpleasant and unsettling feeling.
